Piers is Artistic Director of Ransack Theatre

He trained on the National Theatre Directors' Course and was Resident Director at the Almeida Theatre

He is the recipient of the BBC's Alfred Bradley Bursary Award, John Fernald Emerging Director Award, and JMK AD Bursary, and was shortlisted for the Papatango Prize for Playwriting. His work has received the BBC's Drama of the Week and Manchester Theatre Award for Best Fringe Production
